Travel tips
- Rent a scooter — it is by far the cheapest and best way to explore Goa.
- Travel in the shoulder season (Nov or Feb–Mar) for lower stay prices than peak Dec.
- Eat at local shacks and thali joints; beach-shack seafood thalis are great value.
- Stay in a hostel in Anjuna/Vagator (north) or Palolem (south) to split costs.
